What are your responsibilities at the Keller Center?
My responsibility at the Keller Center is to instruct and mentor our entrepreneurial students to help them refine, shape, and execute their venture ideas into a successful real-life startup. In my work with our undergraduate and graduate students I put a particular focus on design and creative leadership as a competitive advantage for any venture.
What attracted you to the Keller Center?
What attracted me to the Keller Center is the space it provides for students with the entrepreneurial spark to explore their venture ideas with and through guidance from exceptional teachers, mentors and advisors. I love the diversity of the Keller Center student community as well as the broad range of societal, technological, and economic problems they tackle through entrepreneurship.
What do you appreciate most about the Keller Center?
I love how that at Keller Center we aim to educate well-rounded entrepreneurs that have both the hard business skills as well as the crucial soft skills required to build a successful and sustainable company. Building a thriving company is never a straight path or overnight success. Getting access to resources and a community that also teaches the emotional skills of courage, perseverance and creativity is a stand-out quality of the Keller Center.
What advice would you have for students about getting involved at the Keller Center?
My advice to students getting involved at the Keller Center is very simple: You're at one of the finest educational institutions in the world, surrounded by brilliance, ambition, and endless optimism. Make the most of that energy, set a high bar, and find a bold idea or big problem worth solving so you can make big positive impact and leave the world better than you found it. There’s no shortage of work to be done.
