Salganik and colleagues have developed an innovative open-source survey tool that has been organically adopted by governments to promote democratic participation, e.g., by soliciting urban planning ideas for New York City. The Design for Innovation team will now work with Salganik and an external partner, the Citizen Foundation, to systematically scale the reach of this tool to support participatory governance around the world.
