We are thrilled to share that James Zhang has been named a Schwarzman Scholar for 2025-26! Zhang, along with two fellow Princeton seniors, has earned a prestigious place in this highly selective program, which offers a fully funded one-year master’s degree in global affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Zhang will spend a transformative year in Beijing, engaging in rigorous academic study, cultural immersion, and global networking. Scholars attend lectures, travel across the region, and deepen their understanding of China, gaining invaluable experience that will shape the future of international collaboration.
At Princeton, Zhang has been closely involved with the Keller Center, making a lasting impact in Keller’s eLab Accelerator Program as part of a team of students combating loneliness (Flock) and as co-president of the University’s Entrepreneurship Club (EClub). His strong leadership skills and passionate entrepreneurial spirit will serve him well as he embarks on this unique opportunity.
Manda Ryan, eLab program coordinator, shared her thoughts on Zhang:
"Working with James over the last few years in our eLab programs and through EClub has been a wonderful highlight of my time with the Keller Center. He is an insightful, humble, and compassionate innovator who holds the betterment of those around him at the center of his work. I am excited to see where his path after Princeton and Tsinghua leads and the undoubtedly positive impact he will have on society as a human-centered AI researcher and entrepreneur.”
We congratulate James on this incredible achievement and look forward to seeing the global impact he will make in the years ahead!
